Gettin' Physical...

So I have started working out now at the Y, and I'm really liking it. I know I am motivated to do it, I just need to find a way to keep that motivation and not chicken out. I really want this, to lose the weight and feel normal. I want to go into a store without having to try on the largest size they carry and still not look good. I guess that's my biggest thing: clothes. I know it should be "health," but I REALLY want to be able to wear cute clothes. I've heard that I dress like a librarian. I guess I don't mind that so much, but I know part of that is because I've found a style that I can work with at my size. I think I may have overdone it at the gym tonight though. I need to find my limit. Bring on the pep talks!

Personally, I kinda dig the sexy librarian look. The horn-rimmed glasses, hair tied back in a bun ...chills are already running down my spine.

But you know I'm all for your trying out new looks. You go, girl!

If you dress like a librarian, then you're the sexiest librarian I've ever met. Seriously.

And i've been doing the whole eat healthy / work out thing too, since mid-January. I've lost almost 15 pounds. I gained 3 back in a week and a half, just because I stopped going to the gym. It's hard, but totally worth it. Buying those 14s instead of 16s is a *wonderful* thing.

And I use sparkpeople.com as a motivator. It's basically a big logbook of your nutrition and exercise, but there's an absolute smörgåsbord of meal plans, fitness plans, tips, encouragement, message boards, buddy-partnering, etc, etc, etc. It's fantastic. There's a couple of links to the blogs I read as encouragement on the right-hand nav bar of my other page (I'll sign in from it below so you can link to it). You might find some of those helpful, too.
